Art is powerful. It has changed the course of nations, established religions, crowned kings, and motivated oppressed people to rise up and take back their lives. So I ask you, what does art mean to you?
Art to me is everything, everything could be art because everything has to be created. Art is something that someone creates, it is a masterpiece of the world.
I think it's interesting that you wrote about how art can be an escape from reality. So many view it as an expression of reality. I know that I feel like I escape when I play a musical instrument or compose a story, and it takes me out of myself and away from the regular business of everyday life. Is that what you mean?

Art means to me is that the people who do art and put every ounce of themselves in them and make it something enjoying to see and feel something when you look at it
Art to me, means being able to express myself in anyway i see fit to. No one can tell you what and how to make your art, as long as you see it as art, it's art.
Art to me means a lot because art is creativity basically everything such as music , color , painting , drawing , or crafting that's what art means to me.

I hear ya, man. The music itself, and lyrics, too. I feel like I was raised by the poetry of Bob Dylan, David Bowie, and so many others. The music alone, too. There's something about the first few notes of a truly great song that communicates more than entire novels.
